Used my acoustic at a jam last week and had some feedback issues while plugged into the PA. I think I'll pop over to the shop to see if I can find a sound hole cover to fit and give it a try. Anyone here had any success with one of these devices?... I'll post if I can find one, and if it helps out at all.
Cheers

This one works pretty well (http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Feedback-Buster-Acoustic-Guitars/dp/B0009WPMQG)

I taped a CD onto my beater. It worked and it looked kinda acoustic punky, but I think I'd use a real one if taping card board or something will ruin the appearance.

Thanks Kazz / omegadot.
I picked up a Planet Waves PWSH01 Screeching Halt. It fits nicely into the sound hole, and reminds me of the bottom plug of the piggy banks I had as a kid.
I plugged in briefly and let it rip with no issues, and tomorrow I'll take it and try it in a jam session.
If it works for the $7.50 it cost... I'll be a happy boy!
