P90's sound great though, even if they are a little noisy. How does the guitar play and sound? It is a really great looking guitar. I have an immitation one like that that is fun to play. That black looks really good.

Thanks again. Plays and sounds great. I didn't even have to tweak the factory set-up. Fwiw, I've found a bit less difference in sound between various P-90s (I own or have owned guitars with these P-90s: Gibson stock alnico, Epiphone stock alnico [2--Casino and WildKat], Agile stock ceramics, Seymour Duncan alnico, Rio Grande [neck pup in Casino] alnico, and GFS alnico), whether expensive or budget, as compared to the pretty vast differences between various humbuckers.

So far at least, in my experience, a P-90 sounds like a P-90.

Yeah, thanks, unfortunately I've been playing a lot of acoustic and other instruments (mainly mandolin) in church, which is when I mainly play of late, so I haven't been wearing it out like I otherwise might.

I have noticed that the satin finish is really thin, with only one rock gig with her, she's already got a few flecks down to the wood. Not real dings, just already worn through in some little pin-size dots. Doesn't bother me, it'll probably look cool/worn eventually. But I can see how that might bug some people.
