    Slow Blues

Great playing! Is it me or did you play with the panning of the guitar sound? Listening with headphones felt like someone was playing tag in my head.

    MLK Day - Keep dreaming!

Last year, and the year before, when I was blogging a little more seriously (okay, a lot more seriously), I had some "deep thoughts" relevant to today's holiday. This points to both of them. I have to admit, I didn't have anything profound to write this year. As I listened to the speech, I...

Listen to the "I Have a Dream" speech here.

    Michael Brecker - R.I.P.

Oh, wow--that's sad. I didn't know Brecker. I only heard about him a year ago from M-Audio's offer to pay for bone marrow testing for anyone willing to undergo the test. A match might have saved his life. I never did it... It looks like the offer still stands. Wouldn't save Brecker's life...

Looking forward to the video and your opinion. :)

Can a guy have too much gear?

There's nothing wrong with experimenting with different gear. In fact, it can be a lot of fun. As long as you buy used, you don't really lose any dollars buying and selling (except shipping, if you go the eBay route). Knowing you can sell your gear for basically the same $$ you spent buying it...

    Squier Tele Replacement Bridges???

There doesn't appear to be a direct replacement for the Squier bridge. TDPRI has a good thread on the topic: http://www.tdpri.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50956

    Show off your Telecasters!

Here's my new (to me) Squier standard tele. Got it yesterday off Craigslist. To the right of it is my new Vox AD30VT -- bought it today from Guitar Center with their 20% off coupon. Spent the rest of the evening playing with both of them. Believe it or not, I'm not GAS'n for anything!

Your Effects Pedalboard * Pics *

Like Tremoloman, I was tired of the time it took me to set up all my pedals, so I made my own pedal board with an integrated power strip. Now, instead of hooking up all my pedals individually, I just connect the input and output of the pedal chain and plug in the amp. All the connections between...

A New Member of The Tele World!

I joined the tele crowd, too -- found a Squier standard tele for $120. At that price, I figure if I don't like it, I can part with it. The attached picture is from the Craigslist ad.

    Grettings folks !

Ted, welcome! By the way, Kat's GAS list is not complete. You'll find yourself GAS'ing for lots of other stuff, too. ;) I've come to the unfortunate conclusion that it's my playing that sucks, though, not my gear. Sounds like you have a great wife. I'm contemplating lessons myself.

Peavey Classic / Delta Blues Thread

Yeah, if I could find a C20 for the price Warren paid, that would definitely be a no-brainer. I think I'd prefer the C30, though. I'm a little bummed. I haven't heard from the seller of the C30. I think it's already sold and he's no longer checking his Craigslist e-mail. :( Oh well, I'll...

Peavey Classic / Delta Blues Thread

True enough, but $250 for a 30 and no shipping cost seems like an awesome deal to me. That's more the cost of a 20.

    New guy

Another Canadian! Welcome!! (Robert, can you give us a geographical breakdown of active members?) I also have a MIM strat and Fender 25R amp. Stick around--you'll be GAS'ing for more. ;) Btw, who doesn't like SRV? Is it possible? :D
