    Don't know what you guys will think of this but I tried out the method of dropping pennies behind my trem-block to wedge it solid. Works great! I gently tapped them down with the plastic handle-end of my screwdriver. I put a couple in the front corners so that the block wouldn't move forward...

    I tried your method, Spud-san and it's 'no go' - the thing wouldn't budge. I guess that the hole wasn't drill to the proper depth. It's too bad, because otherwise it's a nice guitar, even though MIM. In any event, I understand now that it isn't that critical that the bridge contact the body...
