These are graph tch saddles they have pickups inside them or something. Nothin under te bridge peice. I know I need a preamble to run then. My tech done a strat with the. Saddle and had room in the rear spring cavity to pu a battery to power the things. I'm not looking for info on how to...
Well the saddles alone are pickups also. I'm jus curious to know how they sound. From what I have read about them they are supposed to make a solid body sound somewhat like an acoustic. I know for a fact it's very hard to match the sound of an acoustic using a solid body. I'm just kinda wanting...
Just ordered my first stage of parts for my Mexican strat today. I ordered a Seymour Duncan dimebucker picup for the bridge and two Seymour Duncan hotrails for the middle and neck position. The black pickguard and three black dome knobs. Also Im gonna throw in a push/pull pot for a little coil...
Well the MIM strat I'm doin up is Lake Placid Blue. It has some sparkle to it. Not a lot. So I think with the blacked out parts would look sweet. I mean the white looks good for sure. It's gonna be different for sure. That's what I like.
Well I'm for sure not getin used. It's gonna be close to 300 only because I'm buying them seperatly. The dimbucker is around 90. And the two hotrails are around 80 ea. Plus I'm doin the pickguard and three black dome knobs as well as the rear cavity cover and screws for them. I don't do any...
The picups are gonna be around 300 for all three. The tremelo is 120 the tuners are 65. The total cost in mods I'm doing to this strat is gonna run me about 450-500 all together. I'm doing it all. Jack plate. Cavity cover. Neck attatchment plate. Pickguard. Strap buttons. Screws for all the...
Mexican strat turned custom!¡!¡
Since I bought an american standard I am customizing my Mexican. Every screw and every original part is coming off and I am putting custom parts on. One reason is I don't like the white on the blue that much. I mean it looks good but I prefer black. So I am...
Thanks all for the input. You know I spent close to 1500 on my American and I really wouldn't expect this problem. I bought my Mexican for 500 and never had that issue. I also bought a 300 ibanez art100 and also never had that issue untill I wore the nut out from extensive playing. Lol. Thanks...
Woops. I posted that one under the wrong thread. I have a Mexican STD. Strat that I am replacing all the parts on. My American I am keeping totally stock. It would be pointless to spend that kind of money to replace all the parts. Anyway. From what I can tell the buzzing is from the 5th to the...
I am replacing every single part on this strat. There will be nothing fender about this guitar besides the neck and body when I'm done with it. I'm replacing the tremelo with a wilinson/gotoh vsvg vintage tremelo. I'm changing the pickups also. Putting a dimebucker in the bridge and two Seymour...
No buzzing when played open. And the tremelo is about 1/32" above the body. Almost touching the body. Only in the rear. The front of the tremelo is touching.
