    "Ghost Riders in the Sky"

No, far too long ago for that media option. Oddly, a music mate asked me recently if I could do a demo on the riff and song. If I can manage that I can share with anyone who wants it.

    "Ghost Riders in the Sky"

I have played it many times over the years. The Outlaws version was huge for our band in the mid-80s. More recently I have played it more like the original. Just did it a few weeks back at an informal jam.

    my modest Grampa pedalboard

Very nice board. I looked at the pod but opted for the GP-5 mostly based on cost . I really only need reverb and get that from the amp models. That and two modest drive pedals and I’m set. And with its own little case the board straps on my back along with a guitar, kit bag and amp, it’s a...

    My Family Photo

Liking all these, in particular the Rev Warhawk and the G&L. Nice slippers, too!

    my modest Grampa pedalboard

I am very happy with my modest and basic board. My son calls it the Grampaboard. Tuner on the right, a vintage TS9 next, Fairfield Barbershop OD (first discovered on the Fret!) and a Valeton GP-5 multi-FX, which I use to change up amph sounds. A Tweed model is my favourite for one PRS, while the...

Gig at the Newcastle in Edmonton

That is a lovely Lester. I miss mine since I adopted it out to my son who lives in London (UK). I love the PRS DGT gut the neck is a little hefty for me. Very nice axes though, and good photos, too. What are some songs you cover?

How many guitars do you have?

I have downsized a fair bit over recent years. Aside from some workbench projects I am down to 12: 1/ PRS SE Custom 24 (the blue one pictured) 2/ PRS SE Special (22 frets, pictured) 3/ Fender Strat Ultra from the mid-90s -- my oldest guitar 4/ Fender Mexican Strat 5/ PRS Singlecut...

happy to see the fret is back!

Thanks marnold. Back at you. You're more of a real oldtimer than me (Fret-wise, that is) but I'm happy to reconnect with some of the crew. No, these guitars are not feedback problems. The semi-hollow is really just a chambered body as opposed to fully hollow. I can get feedback, but have no...

    NGD! G&L Legacy USA

Whichever way is up, it's a lovely guitar. Happy playing!

happy to see the fret is back!

Howdy Stingx. I recall you from the old Fret community. Hope you are well. Sure is quiet here. Perhaps in time more visitors will join. Thanks re guitars. I am very happy with them. They seem to suit this part of my life -- as in the older part. These are light -- 7.5 lbs. No more 10 pounders...

Thanks. They are both great and the lake blue CE 24 has a Baggs piezo in the bridge which delivers pretty guys acoustic tones

happy to see the fret is back!

I stumbled across this place and will be happy to contribute in a small way to its rebirth. I joined the original Fret around 2006-7, user name at the time helliott. (I re-registered as my email etc changed with my retirement a couple of years ago. ) I fondly recall the many interactions, jams...
