I'm not sure about the circuits, but I've gotten similar tones out of my Russian Muff. The Muff has a bit more grit to it when cranked, but It stays pretty smooth.

It's a tie between John Mayer in Sept. of '06 in Indy and B.B. King at Ball State in '05! The King's 80th Bday...the first time I ever remember getting chills from hearing someone play guitar. John was also great. This was right before Continuum came out, so everything was fresh.

I'm looking for an amp that can get me in the ballpark of this tone. Does anyone know of any lower wattage amps out there that can get me close to the tone of an overdriven Ampeg V4, V-22, V-40, etc?
