im in a machine shop in school all day, and one thing we learn to do is measure the thread size, and TPI (threads per inch)....it requires a tool that looks like this http://www.toolstation.com/images/library/stock/webbig/70838.jpg .....then you just use the seperate pieces, and see what ones...

ive been loking at it....tryin to figure out what i could do to restore it. im gonna keep the same shape of pickgaurd, but make it out of plastic instead of the weak particle board that was already on it. i was planning on a humbucker, but i want to keep the classic vintage sound of a lipstick...

i would keep that pickup, but it is crap....its falling apart. i will keep a lipstick pickup though. im just gonna buy a new one

do you know if silvertone guitars were made out of particle board?....this guitar is completely hollow.....just thought i would give it a chance to be revived. but im planning on putting a fender tele style bridge on it, and probably just one pickup from a strat knock-off i have....

i just got my friend to give me a guitar he had for a while that his uncle had found in the dump. its not a solid body, and it's not even real wood. to be honest, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE MAKER WAS THINKING. ill post pictures, i just wanted to get this thread started

agreed.....i also still have to buy the dvd....ive only seen like a couple of the shows that are on it. im waitin on there next album thats releasing this year hopefully and i pray to go they are touring
