Well, I just did the deed. Got the Deoxit and lubed everything, then worked the pots back and forth for a minute or so. She is singing like new again! Thanks everyone for the tips. :AOK :AOK :AOK :AOK

Its the tome and volume pots on one of my Les Pauls. I have had it for about 15 years and took it with me to play with the group I play with. Had trouble with both the tone and volume controls. One was scratchy and the other only worked intermittantly. I was able to find a setting that worked...

The 1st thing I thought when I looked at the 1st photo was that it was an old Kay. THEN in the photos that followed it looks like parts of the letters "K", "A", and "Y" on the pieces of the label. I think you have an old Kay guitar.

Every time I have ever gotten a guitar with a neck that felt weird to me at 1st, that feeling disappeared within about a week.

I dont have any trouble getting whatever tone I want out of my tele. I played out this weekend and wanted a smoother more "humbuckerish" sound. Tweaked down the treble on the amp tone control...then when I started playing I tweaked it a little more with the guitar controls, and...bingo...

I'm just the opposite. My tele came with a black pick guard, but I wanted one the same color as the Tele...IVORY. I found an Ivory colored one at a guitar shop near here. I took it home and the holes fit perfectly.

I have a Randall RG25RXM 25 watt amp. I play both acoustic and my Les Paul through it. I got it used for $80. I love it. I play "out" with it and it does fine, but I never play really HUGE venues.

I play electric slide using a Les Paul and a glass slide. (Coriciden bottle) Open G I also play dobro using a dobro bar (cant remember the brand) with a Beard Gold Tone dobro. Open G.
