    DC power converters

A 300ma power supply is a perfectly fine replacement for a 200ma supply. ma or 100th's of an amp are what the load calls for. For example a 60watt bulb uses 120v/60w = 2 amps or 2000ma. If you have a 200 amp panel, that's 24,000 watts available, but the bulb still only uses 60 watts. As long as...

    **Ibanez Bass Recall!!!**

While I agree that a 9 volt battery is so wimpy that it can hardly start a fire, this is for real. -Ray

Caught BB KING last night at hob - orlando

I got to see him here about 9 months ago. Truly amazing 80 year old! I saw him about 30 years ago and he played more and talked less, but still has the same personality and charm. He's got to be one of the best story tellers around. -Ray

I like garageband.com it's like the old mp3.com. They have originals uploaded from the artists. Some great tunes and you can choose your genere (sp) or upload your own original songs. -Ray

Behringer bass amps - or any Behringer amps

There are several of us that own Behringer amps, including one with a bx1200. They have been reliable so far. Mine is a Vintager AC-112 and is gigged with at a jam about 8hrs a week for 2 years without a problem. The problem is they're loaded with surface mount components and the schematics are...

Reducing the feedback in AD series amps?

If it sounds like it's guitar feedback, it's guitar feedback. If it sounds like microphone feedback it's microphonics. It usually only happens at high volume levels combined with a lot of distortion. Waxing the pickups can help and there are a number of places on the net to find out how to do...

    Changing strings

elixers The elixers are amazing strings. They feel lubricated and don't squeak much and are a joy to play. They last me five times longer than regular strings. All that said, thay are steel wound and just too bright for my main axe. I use Ernie Ball Rock and Roll pure nickel wound strings on...

    My New Guitars

It's mostly Mighty Mite. It's an ash body with a quilted maple top. The neck is birdseye maple with jumbo frets. It has Mighty Mite alnico pickups with 250k pots and a .022 tone cap. I wired it so the bottom tone control controls both the tail and center pickup and the middle tone controls the...
