I use Reaper - very easy to use and tons of features/plugins and what-have-you.

Teisco's steadily pop up on Yahoo auctions here in Japan (Teisco being a Japanese company). I think they're becoming something of a collectors item, as the sell prices are steadily creeping up. You might want to hold on to yours for a little bit Pes.

It's pretty handy and I'm not going to complain about free software, but I prefer the old GearBox version's interface. Still as you say, it's good for reamping or changing amps on the fly after recording.

From the videos on the JHS website, the "P90 LP" sounds quite nice, a lot brighter than a standard HB LP. What are you intending to install the minis in?

Has anybody installed/used/tried these pickups? In particular, the humbuckers. The set I'm looking at are 7.4Kohm (neck) and 13.8Kohm (bridge) with metal covers (Gibson LP style). I did a google for reviews but didn't have much luck. I'm essentially looking for pickups that have a bit of punch...

The Miles Davis book is probably the best I've read. If you can handle all the expletives, I highly recommend it.

How are you recording at the moment? What software/interface/PC specs etc? From your post it appears you are realtively new to recording, and porbably need a little clarification on the steps in the process. As far as I'm aware, 8-track is pretty much obsolete now, and would be a step backwards...
