    SG's!!! Lets See Them!!

Yeah, I've seen a video of him playing on the gibson website.

    A good basic distortion

great info everyone! I still seem to be leaning toward the DS-1. Mostly because it seems like the standard in distortion pedals... everyone seems to have at least used one at some point. Although I hadn't considered Marshall for pedals until now (Thanks Nelskie). The Bluesbreaker seems like a...

    A good basic distortion

Ok, I currently own a bad monkey overdrive, and I love it. I love using it in front of my vox on some of the clean models. I have never, however, owned a distortion pedal. (there is a difference from what I understand). I guess what I would like to know is: is it worth getting a distortion...

    Recommend me a Wah Pedal!

Hey fellow fretters. I was asked what I would like for christmas in regards to guitar, and I think I would like to get a wah pedal. I have never had one, but have been eyeing them up for a few months now. From what I have read in reviews and things, I am leaning toward a Dunlop Crybaby Classic...

    Robert ran a marathon!!!

Congrats Robert!!!! Thats fantastic. i'm a runner myself, although the longest race I've run is a half marathon. I ran cross country through highschool, and helped my team win the Pennsylvania state championship. Been running ever since, just getting around to some races perhaps this fall if...

Patch cables for your pedalboard - what do you use?

I use Live Wires. 6 inch angled cables. They work great. I don't gig, so I don't know about roadwear or anything, but they are extremely sturdy. Seem about as sturdy as a short cable is going to be. I can get pedals very close together because of the angled ends, and they're long enough to...

How do you use your OD

I'd have to say i use my bad monkey for reason #2, and reason #3. Can't do #4, i only have one :). and i rarely use my bad monkey for a full out distortion like #1. I'm mostly an at-home player, and I use my ad50vt on some of the cleaner channels most of the time, then i use my bad monkey to...

    Strap locks

Yeah, I have strap loks on all of my electrics. I think they are a great idea. guaranteed no dropping the instrument. But unlike some others here, I only have 2. Haha

    Simple "Megabucker" Wiring Mod

Yep, ya caught my mistake there.... Them clips really do show a difference. The "megabucker" is rounder and fuller sounding. I could see that being good for power chords like you said. It surprising (to me) how much harder it drives the distortion. I guess that makes sense though. Thanks for...

    Simple "Megabucker" Wiring Mod

Great idea DVM. I never thought of doing that, although I have all the other mods done (except phase control) on my Tele. Is the sound really much different from dual humbucker in series? Maybe some sound clips showing the difference? ;)

    Looper pedals?

I agree Trey is a great guitarist! I had the honor of seeing him (Trey and Friends) live this past summer along with Phil Lesh and Friends, which he sat in on most of the tunes. Great show!

    Stepping up a notch (AD60VTH)

How do you like the AD60VTH? How much better is it than the AD100VT? It looks GREAT on paper.

    Tele = Versatility

Hey tone, glad to see you came to light with the tele. I love my squier custom tele. Here is my thread on the mods I did to it, including coil splitting. I bought the guitar with versatility in mind all along. It gets a great variety of sounds with the coil splits. After having played some...
