    New Strat

Thanks, All. I'd been telling myself that my next new guitar (before having bought this one) was going to be an archtop... but... this will actually see much more stage time than a 335-type would have. It's typically a few-several yrs between guitar purchases, so I guess a semi-hollow is on...

    New Strat

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments. The middle knob is temporary - it's from Stew-Mac and is an 'ivroid Tele'-type knob. I didn't care for the more golden/yellow/tan ones that came on it stock, but I didn't have a matching set in parchment, etc. I have a set coming. The Torque...

Thanks; plays like a dream. I had the fingerboard PLEK'd too; very happy with this guitar.

Classic Player 60s with a Motor City Pickups' Torque model in the bridge position. I've had it about 6 weeks now... something like that. Here it is:

Difficult to describe in aural terms maybe. Symetrical clipping is where both the top and bottom of the waveform is distorted/"clipped" in the same manner - same visual shape of wave distortion if you were looking at it on a scope. Asymetrical clipping is where the top half of the waveform is...

I modified it with a mini-toggle switch to select between an OD mode (with asymetrical clipping) and a faux-RC Booster mode. I also installed a mojo-laden Blue LED as well as improving all 1uF coupling caps from electrolytic to stacked metal film (same value) and replaced the 10uF output cap...

    Melody Gardot

I only learned of this chick a few days ago and have gone completely crazy over her stuff. She's in the general camp of Norah Jones, but completely different in various ways. www.melodygardot.com www.myspace.com/melody Just today I got her Worrisome Heart in the mail from CD Baby... great...

    Anyone tried the Roadhouse Strat?

I wish Fender would upgrade the funky logo on MIMs like this - like on the Classic Series for instance. I played a mpl neck'd model @ GC and liked it. Very nice/light body weight on the one I check out.

Telecaster video with Heatseeker tube sweetness

Sounds great, Robert; I really dig the Tele thru this amp.

Congrats - I love my Tele too:

Got my 60th Anniversary Fender neck installed

The maple looks great, Robert - however, I too am on the White Pickguard side of the virtual fence. I love tort and have it on my Strat, but with Blue and Maple, my fave look would be white. It's a great looking gtr no matter what! Can't wait to see a new vid with it.

Thanks, Robert - I feel like a rich man every time I plug into that Bassman - by far the best sounding and best performing amp I've ever played; loud as you could ever need and miles of headroom.

    Show off your Telecasters!

I LOVE the Candy Tangerine Tele!

Thanks for the nice comments, guys. The pickup selection was out of need. I like the warm/round, yet present tone the front pickup provides - still 'singlecoil-ish', but far more of a PAF tone than a std Strat p'up would be. The rear pickup was chosen for two things: 1) high-gain rock/fusion...
