what did you guys do today?

Got up. Went to give mum a hand doing the groceries. Was apparently not in a great mood, I cracked it at some ignorant clown who was blocking me in the supermarket. Quite a laugh. Went to give the old man a hand to service one of our trucks, got covered in oil and diesel. I'm clostrophobic, I...

Wow, that's very cool. How do you keep up with maintenance/stringing etc? Do you ever pick one up that you don't play too often and discover it has disgusting strings etc?

I'm teaching my dad to play bass. He understands the 'different guitar, different sound' concept, and every now and then will say that to my mum, but he's sensible. :rotflmao:

    It's started! :(

I recently bought a new Squier Telecaster, bringing my grand total of axes up to 3. I was sitting on the couch this evening when my darling mother proceeded to complain about my 'obsession' with guitars. I'm only 17 and live at home, so there's no whinging from the Mrs...yet. :) I thought it...

Thanks Robert! The amp is a cheap no-name Chinese one. I need to get a new one...I'm looking at the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. Yeah, it's actually in the garage...beer fridge...well I think you can see both of them there lol! =D

Yes, ok, very funny DVM... More Butterscotch lovin' eh? I guess I'll have to make a decision after I see it in person.

s-5PVjdJCCA Pardon the ***** playing, I was demoing my Brierley pickups in the Neck + Mid position for a friend.

I liked it for a while, but I'm not sure. A new finish would do it good anyway, it has a fair few bits of damage on the back. Not relicing, very ugly damage.

Ugh, just realised I mentioned those three times, lol.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the Butterscotch finish. It'll look much better once it's blonde. I shall post some clips, I bought some Tonerider pups for her.

Well I bought it. $175 posted, case included. I also bought a set of Tonerider pups, a Vintage neck and a Classic Hot bridge. I think eventually I'll refinish it in Vintage Blonde, like the CV teles.

This is being sold by a guy on an Australian guitar forum. He wants $150AUD (currently $120 USD) with the case. It's a Squier Affinity Telecaster, he bought in 2004, so I'm guessing it's from around 2003. He's going to give me a few more pics, as he says theres some chips in the finish, not that...
