Mack amp and my SX Strat

My camera does the same thing. Turn the audio auto level off and try that. You'll just have to be sure not to overload the DSP.

Detune to Eb to Set Intonation?

Yes that would be very noticeable to me too.

Detune to Eb to Set Intonation?

Tuning shouldn't affect the intonation. The string length isn't changing, only the tension.

    Korg Pitchblack tuner pedal.

Peterson. I'd recommend any of their products. Pricey, but spot-on accuracy. I use their software on an iPhone right now, but will be buying one of their benchtop models down the road. The Strobostomp is their pedal version. Same software in a pedal-based tuner.

Just wondering, what type of music is your main thing?

I like progressive rock from the '70's and '80's. Also rock, hard rock, and some pop/rock from that era as well. I listen to very little current music. I also like some of the New Wave stuff that came out of Britain in the '80's. Never was into the Hair Bands of the eighties though. Never...

    A country type of thang..

You're right. That is a very busy mix. I'd push some of the instruments into the background. The violin or viola or steel started getting on my nerves toward the end. There are so many counter melodies going on it's hard to hear anything. She has a very sweet pretty voice. I'd pull her out of...

what did you guys do today?

Practice, played, ate lunch, took a nap, played some more, just ordered a pizza, payed a little on my next guitar, and now I have another guitar in my lap. It's tough typing over the bout. :D

    Amazing version of Toto's "Africa"

I enjoyed that, it was certainly different. :bravo:

Do you go for brand names or no-name stuff?

I believe in buying the best you can afford. Even if it means saving awhile longer. This doesn't apply to everything I own, but for important items it does. Shoes and boots especially, watches, weapons, hand & power tools, some clothing depending upon use, etc. I've always thought that you can...

    Classic 30 owners current/former

It could be cause by the type of switch they use in the amp. There are make-before-break and break-before-make switches. These are also commonly known as shorting and non-shorting switches. They may be using the latter. They could be using a non-shorting switch. The designers know which is...

How to play Barre (bar) Chords

If you don't play a lot of rythmn guitar it can be tough. I'm a rythmn player mostly because I have such a difficult time with lead. I decided to put a lot of effort into being a good rythmn player. The hand and finger strength comes with a lot of practice. And don't wimp out and play two note...

    Hello...is there anybody in there?

Hi Lisa. Welcome. There are many good (and not so good) videos on You Tube for instruction at various levels as well as a lot of song instruction.

Getting a new lens for my Olympus camera today

The quality of the glass, the coatings used, and the polishing for the particular lens. There are a lot of different quality lens manufacturers, most of the best are in Germany or Austria.

Getting a new lens for my Olympus camera today

Canon and Nikon are two of the best. You couldn't go wrong with either choice. I've had Canon's since I was 14 starting with a Tlb 35mm, through the Canon F1, A1, and AE1 and AE1P. I still have the A1. One of Canon's best, if not the best 35mm film camera they ever made.

Getting a new lens for my Olympus camera today

Very nice, but you can see the depth of field suffers with a slower lens at higher magnifications. Color looks very nice but a bit underexposed. Still a decent lens. I did not take out the second morgage for that scope. I'd have been paying that off for fifteen years and I didn't want the load.

Getting a new lens for my Olympus camera today

That's a decent lens. f/5.6 isn't bad for 300mm at all. f/4 would be great, but cost increases dramatically for each increased f/stop or half stop for a given focal length. 70mm is good for portraiture. A lot of long-focal length refractors are f/11 so you can imagine how slow those are with a...
