The book was depressing, the movie was depressing and I wasn't impressed with the writing style. In fact I found it confusing at times. In essence, I didn't like anything about The Road. I've been on a classics kick lately, a lot of Jules Vernes although currently I'm reading the Rum Diaries.

Hopefully this is in the right subforum, but I'm really struggling here. I tried doing it with my band but I just pull it off. If I sing it I can't play it, if I play it I can't sing it. Practice, practice, practice I'm sure but are there any tips or exercises that can help me along?

311 has been my absolute favorite band since about '96. I'm not really a concert goer but when I found out they were going to play a really small venue in Richmond, I couldn't pass it up. Little nervous, but for me this is a lifetime first at age 28 so I'm also extremely excited.
