    Cable!!!!

i made a couple of patch setups for my pedals, unfortunately, the cable is so thick that the 'springs' (coming from the back of the jacks) wont fit over it, so i ditched them... all good so far, but is it wrong to assume that the thickness of the cable will compensate for a 50 cm length of wound...

Still completely unimpressed with Line 6.

or maybe you just dont know how to tweak the spiders to make them sound good. i dont give a crap if people say 'the presets are crap', some are, some are not. it depends on either what you like, or what you like should sound like.... ive got a spider III 210, and im impressed on the tweakability...

    EQ this or EQ that?

when i bought my digitech rp80 multi fx at the shop, the guy told me to turn down the bass and tone dials to 9 o'clock on my amp and always use the pedal with just the bridge position with the guitar... was he full of crap? needless to say i didnt take his advice as it sounded way too muddy on...

    capacitors?

done... here are the results stock capacitor "tracon" capacitor after 6 seconds on both clips, i rolled down the neck tone control and you will hear a subtle difference between them.. so experimentation is the key! :AOK: for the record, for both clips i played the same riff, in the neck...

    capacitors?

:AOK: cheers mate, that helped a LOT "• Use 0.001µF (microfarad) for treble-bleed circuits on volume controls. • 0.020µF and 0.050µF are common guitar tone control caps • 0.050µF and .100µF are used for electric bass" so i assume 0.100uf is 1uf? btw those green "tracons" on my diagram look...

    capacitors?

by the way, theres at least another 30 or so electrical capacitors, resistors etc, with different values that ive yet to desolder, but the majority of them appear similiar to the ones in the picture

    capacitors?

judging by your amount of posts, and your obvious electrical experience, do you honestly reckon any of these could be used on a guitar???

    capacitors?

okay, heres a crappy quality pic of some of the capacitors ive managed to extract so far.. there are some small orange disc shaped ones ive yet to remove, mainly cause i grip the pliers too tight and crush them :rotflmao: but below is a pic with descriptions of what was written on each one ive...

    capacitors?

ive been on a neverending quest to mod my ebay robison 'les paul', not only to improve the sound, but to gain experience in modifying guitars (if i stuff anything up, the guitar cost me 167 aud and wouldnt really affect me).. im moving house at the moment, and as i was cleaning up the yard, i...

    What is your job?

i work various casual positions throughout the year, depending on the season. cherry picker, cane cutter, pruner, almond sweeper driver, grape picker etc etc... id rather work full time but at least i can afford to fund my addiction to guitar :dude:

    Cable!!!!

i read in a guitar mag a few months ago, a section on how to make your own audio cable for your guitars, saving you a fortune on money if done correctly, recently i set out and made a 'guitar kit' ( a tackle box filled with 1/4 inch jacks, spare machine heads, strings, screwdrivers, shifters...

    Bugera Vintage Series.

mind you ive got a behringer ultracoustic 90 watter amp, i cant say its crap, as i havent really played it much to know better. it does its job from what ive seen, but im glad i bought it secondhand for 300 instead of paying 540 for a brand newie, y'know? :poke:

    Bugera Vintage Series.

i was looking into getting one of these at some stage, probably the 333 combo, as it seemed as a good value tube amp, until ive heard people on other sites claim half the screws and nuts were falling off. i was going by what the guitar mag said about these, but i realised these guys only usually...
