I know for certain that ESP's "Edwards" Les Pauls are truly excellent instruments, so I'm sure that the standard ones they offer are very good as well.

Generally, the higher the number, the brighter the sound - an alnico V will have a brighter sound than a 2 or 3, for example.

The thing that surprised me was that though there were definable differences, ALL the settings sounded good to me - having read some discussions on which IC is best I expected some of these to sound mediocre.

For me, Hendrix's live performance of little wing has the most emotional guitar solo, with some wonderfully subtle guitar playing and a beautiful singing, almost crying tone. However, there are many SRV performances which are almost as good - I'd probably go with texas flood at the El Mocambo...

It's definitely one of my favourites, especially since it produces great tones throughout its gain ranges - from SRV style to Brian May. However, since elevating my amp and setting it at an angle, I've really been able to use the UK70's model, which now sounds fantastic.

Very impressive - I also didn't know he was the one who created the solo to canon, which many people on youtube have imitated.

Today I tried not just elevating but angling my AD30, and its made a HUGE difference. Whereas before, for instance, the plexi model was unusable, it's now my favourite!
