    Westbury Acoustic

You should look it up in the Bluebook... I don't have a copy of it and have never been interested in acquiring this model so I didn't pay much attention to the prices they fetched. A quick search shows Unicord (which owned Westbury and Univox) had a retail (list?) price of $235 on it when it was...

    Westbury Acoustic

It was made under licence from Giannini who made/makes the original Craviola. The Westbury (defunct Japanese brand) is better built. Japanese vs Brazilian quality: no contest. If you happen to have the case for it, it will be easier to sell.

    Bone nuts & saddles

In my experience, Tusq is brighter than bone. YMMV. Archtop bridges are entirely different animals. They are floating, not glued, and very few have a bone insert on top. Usually, archtops have a more focused sound, good for solo or comping work, with little sustain to muddy up single notes...

    Building a Dreadnaught

I believe at the time, America hadn't yet decided it had a better spelling for it, so this would have been a "Dreadnaught". But as the old Chinese saying goes, "Whatever floats your boat, Dude..."

    Acoustic guitar radii

Couldn't tell you, I'm not familiar with Taylors. So much of it is tradition... Classical guitars have totally flat fretboards, 2" wide, presumably for easier fingering. Doesn't work for my smaller hands (and less than perfect technique) though... A lot of Fenders do have a 12" radius but a...

    Acoustic guitar radii

12" (Gibson) and 16" (Martin) are the 2 most common, but there are a few others, including compound radii.

    Another one dreadmanized

I got 3 sets from Dman and I don't intend to sell any of them, with or without a guitar... Thanks for sharing your pics, guys. Any close-up shots showing the wood on the buttons...?

    Another one dreadmanized

Beautiful! I don't think I'd ever seen that pic with the maple buttons [Edit: These ARE mahogany buttons as stated in your post. Another brain-fade on my part] Was it lacquer you put on it finally?

    OK Strum

Sorry Strum, just saw your post now... Sharp eye you've got... That green background reminds me of a vintage Daion too.

1980 Daion Mugen Mark V acoustic

Great, actually reminds me a lot of my D-67SJ Washburn. Now that I think they were made by the same people, it doesn't surprise me all that much. However, the bracing of the two is quite different... (Edit: I just realized this one and the D-67 share a cedar top and do have a similar tone...

Thanks, I needed that. My chakra was slightly out of wack lately. Since reading this, it got torqued back in shape so fast it didn't make sense.

    Epi Acoustics

Hey Strum, check this thread... http://www.thefret.net/showthread.php?t=6714 There are quite a few all-SW Chinese made guitars in the 200-250 range (new street prices). I'm not personally familiar with any of them but they get good reviews (FWIW...). You should expect to have some...
