Do You Hear what I Hear

Thanks Robert! Constructive critiques solicited, feel free to chime in! FYI: The acoustic is a 2014 Seagull, used the 1996 Fender Strat with the Eleven rack, paired with the PRS 24 through a Marshall DSL40, no pedals. The PRS track was tweaked slightly afterward with Guitar Rig in Logic.

    Line6 Helix

Line6 has announced its new modeller, the Helix. Seems that they're going after the AXE-Fx, Kemper and Eleven Rack users. Maybe its an upgrade from the Pod HD500X. I use my Eleven rack all the time, but at home. I also really like the M9. I'll be interested to see the reviews when this...

    NPD! Tech21 RK5 FlyRig

Gigged with this every weekend since. Thoughts: When running straight to PA, the level on the sansamp is usually about 9:00, and the low (bass) is set really low... 7-8:00. Its a relief to go to smaller churches and not have to set up an amp, just run through the PA. Reliable tone, this is...

VOX AC15C1 with an Eminence Wizard?

So thinking about changing the stock speaker in my AC15C1 with an Eminence Wizard that i swapped out from a blues Jr III. I had put a cannabis rex in that amph. I'm only thinking this since I have it lying around. Anyone care to chime in on if its a good idea? or not???

    NPD! Tech21 RK5 FlyRig

The more I play this thing is the more I'm liking it. The OD from the OMG is warm and organic, and the boost nails that body in the solos. I've set the SansAmp to the edge of breakup and kick in the OMG for a little more in the choruses. Roll down the volume on the guitar, kick out the OMG...

    NPD! Tech21 RK5 FlyRig

Received today. Wanted to stop lugging an amph everywhere. Guitar> RK5> PA. Thats it. No fuss. Here's the blurb from Tech 21: http://tech21nyc.com/products/sansamp/rk5.html Set it up tonight at practice. Was blown away with the quality of tones this little box has. More to come later.

    Yamaha THR AMps anybody?

My THR5 sits on my office desk. I can get useable tones immediately. I mainly use it to verify song chord progressions for the band. It comes in really handy when inspiration strikes and i have to record it lest I forget. Its really nice to be able to dial in great tones as I need them...

    Vox ac15c1

Update: I understand why this amp is timeless. I also understand why its used so much in praise and worship bands. Its clean (on the normal channel), breaks up beautifully on the Top Boost, roundly chimy and brilliant with single coils, warm and present with humbuckers. Lots of tones on tap...

Good info... been wanting to do this for my amps for a long time.... thanks for posting ! :)

    Vox ac15c1

Thanks DVM and Robert ... ! I like the edge of breakup anyway, and i can always use the pedalboard or M9 in front. For cleans, the other guitarist bought the Cube60 and I can always run another guitar through the Roland KC550 keyboard amph. I went through a heavily repaired Fender Twin and a...

    Vox ac15c1

I suspect a few respected fretters have played through these at one time or the other. The Amph is just gonna sit in church. I play out of church with a Ta-15 or ElevenRack, depending on the gig. I may have a great deal on a (used like new) one. Thoughts?
