Welcome I love my CV 60's strat!

I'm blow away how great my CV 60's strat (sunburst) is. Couldn't be happier as it has a great build quality and comfortable feel more than some MIM and M IA Fenders I've owned. And yeah that bridge pup is pretty hot isn't it.

I got my 50th anniversary 61 SG special today. I'm very happy with the guitar except the cherry finish has such contrasting dark and light lines that the guitar looks like it has stripes. Does anyone know why this is? http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/EG61CHNH/
