    More great info......thanks much !!! It seems as though they threw together whatever was laying around. Guess I'm lucky the random parts piles had good stuff in them :beer: Is there any easy way to ID the pickups? remove the pickguard?

    That's what I'm thinking....also, why isn't the back plate "black"...matching the pick guard color? Instead...it's white. Standard MIM issue? Doesn't really matter....I'm not worthy of even holding a SRV knockoff at this point...

    Hey all, After a month of searching (and a bum EBAY deal), I finally found my Strat...and I couldn't be happier. It happened to be sitting at a local guitar shop just down the road. I do hava a question though.....It appears to be a Standard Straocaster, MIM, s/n MZ4xxxxx, with gold hardware...
