A true musician or I would say even a novice will not be satisfied with the sound IMHO. That said, My friends would ohh and ahh if I had them hanging on the wall in my music room. Shirts jerseys etc are equally functional even if they are fake. A guitar...no. As the OP said great for display.

I hate to see a guitar murdered, but I have something I hate even more. When your co-worker, who has zero musical skill gets a Les paul for his birthday along with a Sun amp and never plays it. I think it is far worse for a guitar to live and yet ... not live.

I think they were cheap because they were for a parlor guitar (which I just learned about). LOL. A parlor guitar, from what I have read is a smaller version of a box guitar, both shorter and thinner. Again, I am by no means an expert on this. :)

I have Texas Specials in my strat and surprising to me I can get a pretty good Skynyrd sound out of the guitar. I mean, it isn't dead on, but darn close. The tone is in the fingers and I'm just not THAT good. Sometimes it sucks to have so many choices, doesn't it? :)

Two Strat copies (red and blue), ST3, ST4, and Aria strat pack all delivered Tuesday. Wife is trippin'. I just told her what I always tell her, "I'll sell them on Ebay". Of course like all the other things I've bought, they will sit in my room until I gift them out. :P

Ordered the Aria Strat pack on the May 1st and 2 Fully Strats, 1 ST4 and 1 ST3 on April 30th. Received ST3 on the 5th All the others are out for delivery today. :) Seems the Aria pack got delayed die to the barcode being unreadable. Keep the faith, ya'll!
