A.J.Fedor here. 81 years old. (‘bout 26 between my ears) Chromatic player since 1955 and guitar since 1961. Pretty good on harmonica and just lately started taking off on guitar. I probably suck compared to most of you guys, but I’m having a lotta fun. Guitars include Hohner EBAE, 1972 Guild Madeira, IYV Les Paul, Fesley SG, BCP bass, SX Strat, Leo Jaymez, Telly and I love every one of them. Good to be here!:cool:IMG_0001.JPG

Welcome Age! 81 and still playing...I'm only 68, so yer giving me something to shoot for! Nice looking collection, seems like you got the bases covered. Hope to see you around some more :)

Yeah, the Hohner EBAE and the 55 year old Guild Madeira are “real,” but the rest are all cheap knockoffs. Fantastic knockoffs BTW.😎 I can’t say enough about well they all play. They think they’re the real thing. Shhhhhh! Don’t tell’em.😉

Yeah, Rob, it’s kinda weird. With my ADHD, I’ll never play like I’d like to (Chet Atkins finger style😢) or even sing and play using anything more than simple chords. Even piano, other than one finger stuff is outta the question, but the guitar is startin’ to click for me in its’ own strange way. Kinda exciting, actually. I wake up at 3:00 am to pee and sometimes pick up the guitar for about 45 seconds or so, so somethin’s going on, eh? 🤔

As long as it brings you some joy, it's all good right!

That sounds like me but Instead i am going to sleep @around that time ,i would pick up my guitar the 2 min mark would come then mysteriously i become concerned that i did not have enough sleep so i need to go to bed, Now this was in 2024 around the holiday season . Now since 2025, in April i would pick up my guitar the 2 min mark would come then mysteriously i become concerned that i did not have enough sleep so i need to go to bed, But this time i get backup & smoke a joint & have that idiot box on (tv) , then it would dawn on me that i was trying to escape with the joint & tv. But the laugh was on me, because within 15 min i picked-up guitar 🎸 3-hours later i wipe my strings down get a little snack , then took another toke , then i picked-up my 🎸 & played 2 more hours.🃏. Now since then i play & or learn my guitar. now since the summer 2025 i told myself that in the fall of 2026 i would like to try playing to my ez-drummer . Look i am 56years of life: black male🤔 - that like (loves distorted guitar sound) this is what worked for me. Now these days: i have the opportunity too look back on my 72-seasons-of-life & counting. learning any musical instrument is psychological thing - i think you now that ?🤔 .

Strangely, I’ve been playing that old Madeira more than anything else lately. The old girl got (visibly) toasted in a house fire back in 89, and insteadda suddenly coming apart like everyone sed it would, it just started sounding sweeter, and still going. I got a kit for it and the old girl will be going acoustic/electric shortly.😎

I can’t help myself. Just got another one! Somebody STOP ME! Bwaaaaaahahahah! Think I’m gunna need another wall hanger. This Grote might actually be the best of the bunch. Like buttah! Got a buck and half from Amazon for opening an Amazon credit card, and another twenty bucks back for the thing being four days late, so this gorgeous puppy cost me just 79 bucks. I’ve played a real ES335 and this thing might be even better. No kidding!😎

That is good looking. I hope you have a good place in your collection for it.

If you want someone to stop you, you've definitely come to the wrong place.

My son was playing it on Mother's Day and he thinks it's the best of the bunch too. One of the cool things about it is that it’s “semi-acoustic, ” IOW, it doesn’t sound like I’m playing a brick, when I don’t have it plugged in. After my son plugged it in and even added a little “crunch," surprisingly, this thing can pretty much “do it all.” Yeah, I’m in love.🥰

Yeah I plan to keep playing as long as “Uncle Arthur” (Arthur Itis) lets me.😎 He’s prolly the main reason I switched to “9 x 42’s” on everything except that bass. (and even those are light gauge flat-wounds) Hey, when I can’t do this anymore, I still have the Chromatic harmonica, which has been my main axe since I was 10 years old. https://www.slidemeister.com/ajfedor.html
