How old were you when you picked your first guitar up and what kind was it?

I was 15 and my friend got a MIA Strat. I knew then that someday I would own a guitar. Well it took 21 years but thanks to music123 and my wife putting up with it, I now own 5 electrics and a bass :)

How do you mount Humbuckers with out Rings

Did you get the body and neck from GuitarFetish? The pictures look like the ones they always have in the neck and body factory closeout section. Nice looking pieces - you should be real happy with them.

Nice, I'll have to pick this up to get even more excited about seeing him and many others at the Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago in July. :DR

    $29.99 Bass at Music 123

What you get must be a crap shoot - i opened mine in the back and the black one I got is solid wood. Maybe the black/silver ones like yours are different.

    $29.99 Bass at Music 123

I have an old Sony stereo receiver and an old set of HarmonKardon speakers that I have in the basement - I'm using that with the microphone in jack - works great and I don't have to worry about damaging a guitar amp.

    $29.99 Bass at Music 123

Opened it up and set it up last night. Very nice, especially for $30. Minor fret sprout (but not nearly as bad at the Fat Fully) that can easily be sanded down is about the only negative. Neck is straight, weight is nice and sound is great for a $30 bass.
