Another issue with poor quality control is that people who do buy a good one pay for all the ones rejected by customers that are sent back - Fender, or whomever, is not going to wear those costs.
It's not just Fender: an Epi LP I priced (street) last December was AU$799, at the end of January/early February it had jumped to AU$1200. The dealer agreed an Epi wasn't worth that and he would never buy one at that price.
Thankfully Tokais are still available at last year's prices.
I've used PayPal for years and never had a problem. I notice that large well-known companies and some government departments are using it now.

You just reminded me that I had Behringer tuner pedal in the closet still in it's box (bought a bunch of Behringers at a sale). I thought it would be a TU100 because I've had it for awhile but I was surprised to find it's a TU300. I'll have to give it a go now.
