I've just asked him a few questions... let's see how we go.

    Distortion

Thanks for all the input so far guys... I have a fuzz box at the moment, which is alright I guess. Still not quite it though. I'm thinking I'll play around with what I have, try and find a sound I like, maybe combine some pedals. I came across this site here which was useful. I think more...

    Tremolo Pedal Repairs

Unfortunately I have no idea - it's an eBay thing, so I wouldn't know until I bought it. (Guy doesn't play guitar, has no amps or whatever to test it out...)

    Distortion

Hi folks, I'm looking for a distortion pedal to add to my board. I have a fuzz and a metal pedal, but neither give quite the sound I'm looking for. I'm looking for a pedal that'll add a little crunch to the tone, but maintain a fairly clean sound overall. The sort of thing you might hear from...

    Tremolo Pedal Repairs

Hi all, Just looking to seek some advice here... I'm looking at buying an old Eko pedal (surprise!) that I've come across. Made in the 60's for their Minstral Organ, I'm thinking that there's no reason it shouldn't work for a guitar? Anyway, the point is, it doesn't work and the seller...

Joe Bonamassa on Bob & Tom - Blue & Evil

It wasn't until I came across the Fret boards that I'd even heard of JB, but he's rapidly becoming a favourite of mine.

The ten best acoustic guitars are

My friend has a Takamine, can't remember the exact model but it's a great guitar. Fantastic sound. Only problem is a buzz created by a slightly loose fitting battery pack... Other than that though, list seems fairly reasonable. I'm actually glad to see Yamaha on there - not the most glamorous...

    Best Opening Band?

Best support acts I have seen were LightsAction supporting Saosin - in fact they were much better than Saosin live. Also Sion supporting Oceansize. Oceansize were much much better, but Sion were a good opening act. Oh, and definitely Men, Women and Children supporting Lost Prophets...

    WTB: Bigsby Type Tremolo

Hi there, I'm looking to buy a replacement tailpiece for my semi acoustic Eko and wondered whether anyone had a Bigsby type tremolo they're looking to sell? Doesn't have to be a Bigsby, just that type of thing. Also must be the type with the hinge to attach to the bottom of the guitar. Like...

    Acoustic Pick Ups

Hi all, I've just bought a few pick ups for some of my acoustic guitars that I don't want to drill into or change by adding built in pickups. So, I went onto good old eBay for a look, and picked up a couple of different ones. For my O hole Yamaha, I've picked up a slide in pickup, picks up...

    12 strings

The Eko Ranger 12 String is a belter of a guitar. I believe it was the top selling 12 string in its day - production at its highest point of 100 units per day back in the 70s. They've just recently started operating again and have released new models. The new models are about $200 I think -...

    Must Have in 2010?

Hmm... I think I'll be more trying to finish the various projects I have on the go before thinking about new gear - come the spring, I'll be hoping to finish the Firebird. Should any vintage Eko gear come along before then though... you never know...
