Iv'e been thinking about trying a really light guage string set on my Fender Marcus Miller V. The guages are, 35-55-75-95-125. in ProSteels.
Does anyone have any experience witha string guage this light in either D'Addario or Rotosound. The set I ordered with the separate B is below....
I just picked up a new old stock Peavey TKO bass amp. It's between 12-15 yrs old!
I was going to get the Combo 115 but realized that with my herneated and degenerative discs in my back, that might not be a good idea.
It's rated at 80 Watts RMS but it sounds like 150 watts!
The cabinet is quite...
Style of music played, " NewGrass" . Blue grass and Rock fused.
I've never heard anything like it. His band is amazing. He plays fiddle and mandolin, he has a guitarist, man on upright bass, and a man on banjo.
All are super accomplished on their instruments. Did you ever hear a Mandolin played...
Iv'e tryed all digital boxes and Zoom still wins hands down. The B-2 is the best to date. Yes, you have to take time and program the patches the way you want.
It took me three hours to program 5 patches the other night. All in all I have 30 patches programed to my taste in 6 days. It was all...
Here is a picture of Led Zeppelin approx. 1973-74.
Look closely at JPJ's bass, it's a five string! There were no fivers in productiopn back then. It looks like a Modified Mustang. I thought I was seeing things at first but count the tuners, there's five of them. That had to be the first five...
I wish I would have bought one of these a long time ago!
This little pedal made my 50 Watt Crate BT-50 1X12 bass amp sound like a 100 watt with a 1X15. It doesn't make things louder even though everything sounds louder, it keeps the frequencies original so to speak. You hear all nuances better...
One word to describe this beefy powerhouse.....WOW!
I got one that was new old stock made in the USA.
350 watts stand alone, 400watts with an 8ohm extension, and 450 watts with a 4ohm extension. I think im going to go with the 8ohm GoliathIII JR. for an extension cab so not to push the power amp...
I like the Les Pauls, Dot, Casino, Riviera, Sheraton, Double Neck SG, and all of the Emporerers and Jazz Boxes. The basses I can't stand because of that stuipid three point bridge! :puke:
Boy, im gassing for a Gallien Krueger 700/RB1X15 combo!
Iv'e been offered to join a band as bassist and I need something with a little oomph!
At 380 watts, it should do the trick. Plus, the guitarist runs everything through his own sound system anyway so 380 watts is more than plenty.
Im gonna...
What's your preference?
I like 45-65-80-100's, with a 130 on my five strings.
My fretless gets 40-60-75-95's.
If you play a five or six string just add them on to the main selections.
Has anyone here ever epoxied a fretless bass fretboard?
If so what steps did you take to do this process, and did you have to work quickly with the epoxy?
Fender Frontman 65 R.
I gotta say, this little amp packs 65 watts with a 1X12 speaker and in my house I can't put it above 3. It has saturation almost like a tube amp does. It's worth every penny. :)
The new Vintage Modified series are the best Squires put out since the 80's.
Some are made in India, some Indonesia but they are good quality instruments now. A few years ago they were Garbage!
I guess somebody got the ball rolling for Squire. :master: :rotflmao:
