    New Vintage Modified Squiers!

The VM Jazzmaster does sound very nice. The maple neck is a little bit chunkier than what you'll find on an MIM Strat, but it's very playable and the frets are nicely dressed. I'm surprised at how nice these single coil Duncan Designed Jazzmaster pickups sound. Fit/finish is also better than...

    New Vintage Modified Squiers!

I picked up a VM Jazzmaster the other day in Butterscotch Blonde and I love it. It sounds suprisingly good and the neck feels just right. At first I had my reservations about the concentric knobs and the Strat-style jack plate and Danelecto-esque bridge, but these guitars are put together rather...

    Dean Deceiver X

Looking forward to seeing your pics. Congrats on your new guitar. It's surprising how far Chinese manufacturing standards have improved in the last few years.

    Top 15 Most Influential Guitarists

I'll play to keep this thread going. My 15 most influential guitarists (and bassists): Dave Fielding (The Chameleons, The Reegs, Coconut DF) Julian Swales (Kitchens of Distinction) Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order, Monaco, Freebass) Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins, Violet Indiana) Will...

    So I have a Pathfinder...

I don't own a Pathfinder 10, but the Vox Pathfinder 15R is a fantastic little amp. Best sounding solid state amp, IMO. Seriously, it's the only solid state amp I've ever cared for (and i've tried a quite a few). I think it's ideal for home use/recording/practice or just to jam with friends...

    NGD: Peavey JF-1 EXP

I had a Peavey JF-1 EXP for a while. Mine was all black with gold-tone hardware. It was made in China, but what isn't made in China these days? Anyway, I had been looking for a decent budget-priced semi-hollow guitar and bought a Peavey JF-1 EXP. Doesn't have the best fit/finish mind you, but...

    NGD.. Axl Badwater 1216

Yeah, it's got a set neck. The shop I bought it from makes sure every guitar is set up before putting them out on display so when I played it the action and intonation was spot on. I just couldn't pass it up for the price they were asking. All I've done is slap on a set of new strings and...

    NGD.. Axl Badwater 1216

Stopped by a local guitar shop in town a couple of days ago and picked up an interesting Les Paul copy. It's an Axl Badwater 1216. Bought it with a hardshell case for $200. I believe the retail price on these Asian imports are $299 without a case. Normally you get what you pay for, but I was...

    Problem with my new Hag

DeoxIT has some added chemicals and is a good product, but it's not always easy to find (at least not in my area) unless you happen to order it online or know of a retailer in your area that has it in stock. Regular electrical Contact Cleaner will work in a pinch and you can easily find several...

    Problem with my new Hag

Glad to hear it worked. :dude Enjoy that Hagstrom!

    Problem with my new Hag

Let us know how it works out. Spray the stuff in there pretty good and wipe any excess that gets on the body. Repeat as needed. Remember to work that toggle switch. Every guitarist/bassist should have a can of that stuff handy. I also use Contact Cleaner to remove that stubborn residue you get...

    Problem with my new Hag

Yep, you can get some at Radio Shack. Ace Hardware stores sometimes carry the stuff as well. I happened to get a can of Contact Cleaner at a local guitar shop in my area that sells them. I used to have a Peavey JF-1 semi-hollow that had the same issue as your Hagstrom. All I did was saturate the...

Anyone playing the Highway One Strat?

I've got a 2007 Fender Highway One Strat in Daphne Blue. I must admit it took me a bit to get used to the jumbo frets, but it sounds and plays great. Mine's all stock, except for a set of Schaller strap locks I installed soon after I took this pic.

    Problem with my new Hag

Before you take your guitar in to get looked at use some DeoxIT or Contact Cleaner first. Spray it on the toggle switch and work the switch a bit. It won't hurt the guitar, dries really quick and works wonders.

    NGD - Gretsch G5122DC

Yeah, it's a good looking guitar for sure. Not heavy at all. It's a large sized guitar, but it's a hollowbody so it weighs next to nothing. Sounds huge once plugged in.

    NGD - Gretsch G5122DC

Allow me to present my new Gretsch G5122DC. Took this pic after I changed the strings and adjusted the intonation. Sorry for the crappy pic. Looks much better in person. Very lightweight and flawless in it's construction. The Gretchbuckers are okay. I've read that some don't like them and prefer...

Any recommendations for a stompbox tuner?

I used the Korg PitchBlack for a while. It's a good tuner, but I love the TC Electronic Polytune. It allows you to check the tuning on all your strings at the same time or you can check them individually, plus it has an ambient light sensor that automatically matches the brightness of the LEDs...

    Awesome Bugera review

I picked up a Bugera V22 a few days ago. Great sounding amp and quite impressive considering it's price. It takes pedals really well too. I took the Bugera to a jam session on Saturday and put it to use throughout the evening without a negative incident. The fellas were impressed with the tone...

Your Effects Pedalboard * Pics *

Here's what I'm currently using. TC Electronic Polytune into the Digitech RP1000 with a ModTone Aqua Chorus and a Visual Sound Garage Tone Analog Delay in the pedal loop then to a Digitech JamMan Solo looper.
