Theory...now or later
In my opinion basic guitar theory is essential when starting out but just as important is getting comfortable with playing and and getting your fingers moving. As far as theory goes when starting out, just learn the basics, ie what all the chords are called........so if you someone says play...- stevec71

I notice you are into some pretty cool bands etc I've just worked out Biffy Clyro "Many of Horror" took me ages..well worth looking at as its really addictive playing it. Good blog for picking up guitar as an adult . . .
