Armed with his #1 Fender Strat, the late Texas bluesman rips through a few tunes in this soundcheck from Pittsburgh on January 24, 1986. Backed by his famous rhythm section—bassist Tommy Shannon, drummer Chris Layton, and keyboardist Reese Wynans—Vaughan gets all Hendrixy on "Soul to Soul" and shows us some slow burn on "Ain't Gone 'n' Give Up on Love."

Stevie's playing was incredible and consistent (unless he was too high).
