27:13 on todays 8 k race

Placed 1st with the time of 27:13. Quite content with that. There was a strong headwind over half the race, and there are a couple hills on this course that definitely slow you down. Course record by about a minute.

A friend of mine used my video camera to take some video during the race. I went over the footage yesterday, and here is the result. The background music is a tune I wrote, by the way.

Well, she wasn't first but they all got number 1 anyway!
I was the "bunny" for the kids. One girl sprinted in the beginning so fast that I couldn't keep up with her. She faded a bit later though...
