I have an Ovation Tornado K-1232 (with vibrato) hollow body electric (Gibson 335 style) in excellent condition with a hand made case.
sn: J 090 Made in 1972.

I've had it about 14 years, it's in great condition and I recently gave it some much needed TLC to bring the thing back to it's original lustre.

My point here is I have no idea what it's worth if I decide to offer it for sale.

Anyone?

No I don't play it at all now.

I've been away from music for 10 (at least) now.
Only recently got back to it, though still having a hard time finding time.
But I bought a Mex fat strat and Vox AD30VT for this 're birth' ;)
The Ovation was cleaned up, restrung, the travel case repainted and everything packed away.

It's a beautiful guitar with a very easy and low action.
I never used the vibrato (I took it off when I played it)
Great for blues and jazz, though it loves to get dirty too (mind the feedback though)

amazing guitar..... I love the "sound Projector" or whatever it is..... how about setting up a band and using that as its P.A. today? that would be fun.

This thread is a bit old, but in 1971-72 it listed for $309. As for a value in todays market... so a search on ebay (I have seen several of these recently) and on gbase.com

It looks sweet.

The 2007 Vintage Guitar Price Guide has a range of $450 to $550. Probably still in the ballpark.
