i got my second bday present [early as well] today.

came home from work to see a package on the pool table for me.

Muddy sent me my very first pedal.

i had my lesson tonight, so i solemnly made Shiner promise to not play with my new toy until i got home so i could play first.

we just took turns jamming. tres cool.

clips come when we're done w/the new recording studio [aka son-by-proxy's bedroom]... shiner is working on hooking everything up a bit at a time; he's gotten the furring strips finished out and ready to mount on the wall, then come the hangers and arranging the gitfiddles on the wall and finishing up the electronics hookup/arrangement-- by-proxy needs to come and help move around some heavy furniture between him and his sister's bedrooms...

then clips you shall have. and just wait until daughter-by-proxy comes for next visit to texas, and i will share with you one beautiful voice and talent!!!

[until then, you just get to suffer through shiner and i fumbling around :thwap: ]

labor day is celebrated on the first monday in september.

my mother went into labor and delivered me on the same day.

monday, sept 5.

i was, however, nearly a month late. so yes, my mother was more than a little peeved at me, and told me repeatedly that if i was a day later she was coming in after me.

i just tell her she had to wait for the good stuff.

sometimes she laughs and agrees with me, sometimes i just get The Look.
