The concert he performed at over the weekend had some tragedy take place. It's sad when concerts are marred by such things.

OK, now that I dropped a barbiturate in the thread, I'm out of here.

No wait, on a positive note - who would have thunk this 30 - 35 years ago?

One of the best shows I ever saw was in 1970 or so in Frankfurt, Germany.

Procol Harem was scheduled and a british group called Head, Hands and Feet opened the show.

For weeks prior there had been handbills all over town advertising the concert and the "doper" underground carried a rumour that Alice was going to be there. We were not sure but we showed up anyway.

The first group were fantastic, playing tunes we had never heard. Then Procol Harem came on and the breath went out of the room. They were a lot like a band on ludes.

The lights came up and the crowd filed out. We sat there for another twenty minutes and the P. A. came to life with, "....Ladies and Gentleman,,,,from Hollywood, California......Alice Cooper!!!!

Must have been 300 people there.

Great story. Wow. That would have been awesome.

I saw Alice Cooper open for Queensryche and "Heaven and Hell"(Black Sabbath w/Ronnie James Dio). He sounded good, put on a good stage show(still very theatrical). I was surprised how young his band was, they all had a "hired gun" kinda presence on stage. His set included all of his popular songs, there wasnt one song that I didnt know...and Im not really an Alice Cooper fan...which probably explains why I didnt sit through the entire set. I actually spent most of his set standing in line buying beer, merchandise or outside smoking.

Hey, wasn't Albert Lee in Head, Hands and Feet? If so, I'll bet that was one heck of a show!
