Love the song and you did a nice rendition of it. You should make a longer or full version.

Pretty spacy there, Blazes! I think t0t's people would really like it. We're going to be singing that tomorrow morning at a funeral I will be conducting.

Any good tabfor this song?

Tab here in Open D http://www.guitaretab.com/m/misc-traditional/12510.html

I played it in E on standard tunning but i might try to found something in E or Eb open tunning..

The sound is pretty space , that s what i m lookin for to play some pad chords in gigs or studio ..I like this one but i have to work on it still..
Description :Compressor , vibrato, phaser , warp_delay ,modulate_ reverb ,noise gate ..

Recorded on Audacity -- Boss Gt 8 straight thru M_ audio Fast Track with that not mine Gibson ES 335..

Thanks for comments..

I love a lot of different versions. I like an upbeat reggae version that I know of from some mission kids (I'll try to find a clip), I like bluegrass versions, though an artist doesn't spring to mind, and I really like this fingerstyle version by Peter Huttlinger: http://www.greatindie.com/ipnmusic/store/list.php?item_number=634479376641 There is a clip at the end of the album track listing.

It is only a partial clip, but I could not find a vid on youtube or anywhere. I think Spud originally turned me on to Peter.

SVL,
I enjoy the song myself, and really liked Blazes version.
Additionally, I'm glad the last sentence of your post was not the first sentence, I possibly would have coffee all over my keyboard..........:rotflmao:

Here s an Amazing one by the one and only , the Great Tommy Emmanuel ..

Blazes, you did a pretty good job on the song. A longer version would be great though.

:bravo:

That Tommy Emmanuel version is impressive, though I like the more understated playing best. Thanks Blazes. I will check out the Wooten version too.

Tommy Emmanuel is a fantastic player, but taking into consideration the message of the song there are better interpretations. I had to sing that song at chruch on Christmas evening in an a-capella version.
