Hi! I'm Steve. I live in the Manchester, NH area, and I've been playing for about 35 years.
I played in bands around here for about 25 of that, but retired from gigging in around 2002. I started playing back the the early days of punk, but my first love was always The Beatles. So my ideal sound is melodic, but with an edge. Kind of Beatles, Ramones, XTC, Guided By Voices, Byrds, Beach Boys & The Who.
One of the upsides of being older is that what are now unaffordable, "Vintage" guitars were just "Used Guitars" when I was younger, and I still have most of them. I'm at around 16 guitars at the moment. The stars of the lineup are an emerald green '68 Guild Starfire II, a '71 Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop, a '71 Telecaster and a '66 Hagstrom electric 12.
I have the music that I make at home now at www.soundcloud.com/aspirinhammer.
A few pics I have handy:
The Starfire in 1987:
The Tele in it's current configuration (The original body was thrashed, I modded it a lot over the years):
Oh, forgot to mention the '77 Guild S-100:
The Tele's original body in the early 90's:
The Les Paul
Me now with an Agile AD-2300:
