People are red on the mustard color kawi.(This was Dans girlfriend at the beggining of the day.Later on she rolled Dans kawi on the side of a mountain and it took both mine and joeys cat to winch it up.That pretty fairing got smashed,we got smashed later on after the ride and well before the night was up ol red bid us goodbye:beer: Second woman is mama grizz Dans mom .She is 70 and boy can she ride im telling you this woman can hang. She loves goosing me with mud evertime im behind her in a mudhole.:masteryea tha 660 grizz is hers) Next is my big arse buddy Dan .He also lived in manch vegas and was allstate at UNH and was scouted hard for the pros.He blew his knee out and the rest is history.Last is my bud joey on his h1:dude: Missing is Dans dad who passed shortly before. This was our first ride without him.So ill dedicate this thread in his memory:beer:

It was too cold to do any extra outside stuff today but I will take pics of the quad and a GOOD helping of snow as soon as I can. I think our total snow fall for this year is over ten feet and plenty more to come. :thwap:

I bought a Yamaha 600 when they first came out... the boys an I have always been on 3-wheelers.. these 4-wheelers are great.. but LARGE!!

I was kicking booooty on the polaris buddies.. until I got in deep mud.. then they would win...sigh..

Then it happened.. on a nice day of trail riding.. following up a bank above a river the Yammy Myself and a lady friend went off backwards when the bank gave way..about 3 stories up...

I broke 5 ribs on my right side... she broke her leg and now has 3 pins in it..

I couldn't get up and laying in the river creek with my son holding me I passed out a few times... waking to a helicopter about 300 feet above me trying to send down a rope between trees to hoist me out... I SAID NO WAY!! they finally strapped me to a 4-wheeler and slowly took me out that way worried I may have punctured lungs.

This was not horse play.. just one of those things.. I sold it and moved on back to my safer street bikes (ya think?)

I just had to mention this seeing that little guy by one tipped over.. my pain was not as bad as seeing the lady in pain.. and knowing somehow I was at fault just by owning one...

They are such great fun to ride.. and things can happen anyplace.. I miss the days.. but the harm is just to much of a risk...

Although my grandbabies still ride theirs...sigh

Here's my machine, Honda Foreman 500ES. The "ES" is for Electric Shift and man is that nice. No clutch, no foot shift - just press a button!

As you can see this is more or less a work machine for me. Sand spreader, 60" county plow, cab. It'll be mowing and doing yard work come the good weather. I'll hit some trails as soon as they open but none of that upside down stuff for me. :messedup: (I hope)

There's a LOT of snow this year so I eventually had to get creative as to where to put it. If we get much more I'm going to have to rent a Bobcat.

Yep, I put a Warn RT3000 winch on it. When I got it (in December) I got a manual (human powered) plow lift but that got old QUICK!

I'm in NH and couldn't have picked a better year to get a quad with a plow. I've saved over $700 in plowing/sanding cost so far.

Does it ever ride up on ya ? I mean.. you know, the plough not your underwear, does it stay down or ever lift due to the load as your pushing.
What's the limitation snow depth wise ?

The angle of the plow blade keeps it down while plowing, kind of wedges under the snow. It also has skids on each end that keep the edge of the blade from digging in.

The blade is 18" high on one end and 22" high on the other. I've easily pushed 16" of snow with it. The toughest I've seen so far was 12" of snow that got 6 hours of rain on it before I got to it. Very heavy stuff. It was a struggle but I managed. It's a great tool to make the worst part of winter into good time.

How and where does the cutting blade hook up? I've seen a few people around here plowing, but I've never seen a cutting deck of any sort on one of these.


Mudcat, 100 miles, that has to be a blast. Got a kick out Chase proudly smiling at your rollover. Just like my daughter some years back when I made my first and last attempt at snow boarding. Feet came up over my head and head went crashing to the ground as the board went solo down the hill. My daughter? Well let's just say it's the hardest I've seen her laugh at almost anything.

Sweet. Do some serious and fast cutting with that. Hey, that one appears to come with a flannel shirt or did you suggest that marketing idea?

I've been plowing now with my Simplicity tractors for about 7 years, but always envied my neighbors with their toys. We had some of the heavy wet stuff this week and although the tractor gets it done, a 4 wheeler would be more fun.

Oh, I was thinking more of blasting across my neighbors lawn and tearing it up.

I have 6,000 sq ft of driveway and two sections are inclines, that machine of yours would come in real handy.

Your driveway (if I remember the pics correctly) would be the perfect candidate for a quad plow. Lot's of area to be plowed with enough flat land around it to put the snow. I've got obstacles everywhere and that takes some clever-ness.
