I may or may not want to go, depending on the ticket price, but looking at the tour schedule, he'll be skipping the entire state.
Usually when someone skips my town (the 4th largest in the US) they at least play Dallas or Austin. :thwap

The guy makes a career out of imitating the style of one of Texas' most beloved bluesmen and then doesn't play Texas? Interesting.

Yep!
I don't think I'd want to see him outside of the Trio blues setting he did years ago unless he decides to make an album with something more "authentic" instead of his style of pop. He gets too syrupy in that direction for me. Mrs. Tig likes his music, but she married me so there no accounting for her tastes!

I'd like to see him myself, if he came around. I am sure I would see some pretty good chops regardless of what style he was playing. But I do like the Trio stuff best.

*looks at concert list* Not coming anywhere near me though.

At least Oregon has Cali a few hours south and Seattle a few hours north. U2 came to Salt Lake City some years back, but not many large shows hit the northern intermountain areas.

That's really awful. I hope he gets better soon. It's got to be a real pain to deal with something like that.
