Just a demo of the Bandmaster VM. This is plugged straight in (no pedals) with the bridge pup of my American Strat with a Shure SM57.

Sounds much warmer on the neck pickup but this is with the bridge so it's a little bright. Feel free to comment on getting a better tone (treble was on 6, mids on 6, bass on 5, gain on 6)

Nice tone - I wouldn't change much. But you could place the mike a bit off axis to eliminate the brightness. The rhythmguitar sounds great!

Sounds abt right to me, ts. Nice smooth, flowing melodic lines! :bravo:

I've heard many a bridge pu that sound MUCH brighter and thinner than that.

When using single-coils, I rarely use the bridge pu. With Strats I prefer postions 2 and 4 on the blade switch, although for that Tele spank, the bridge pu is the way to go.

Humbuckers, of course, are another story...

It's bright but still very good. Check the middle pos of your guitar with that amph.

Sounds classic! I must test this amph asap.

Thanks for the replies. This amp always sounds too bright to me for some reason....It could be that my other amps, the Delta Blues and the Blackheart are darker sounding. It's been a while since I've played through a 6L6 amp and forgot how bright they can sound.
