Boss FS-5U

OK I dont have alot of experience with pedals or channel changers, I'm looking at getting a roland cube 60, and it's got three seprate plugs in the back for changing the channels and the affects, so I will have to buy three foot pedals like the title, or is there somthing better to get?
and do you have to keep your foot on this pedal in the title or does it click like a on off switch?

From my limited experience with the FS-5U and my looper pedal it is a momentary switch only.
