My daughter has been active behind the scenes in the school plays and musicals. In the past she has been a part of stage crew, stage design, and manager for photography and promotion.

In all, she has been involved with at least 10 productions and will become an active member of the International Thespian Society very soon.

I've always encouraged her to try out for a part in the musicals. She is one of those people that are very talkative, witty, and creative, but timid when it comes to the stage. Well, I think we may have made it over that hurdle as she had her first part in the chorus of Bye Bye Birdie. She still maintained an active role in coordinating the photography and promotion, but her energy was put into rehearsals, and it paid off.

We went to the show last night and got such a kick out seeing her on stage.

My daughter is the one with the light green top and purple pants (not far from her normal selection of matching colors).

Congrats Strum on your daughter's acting roles. I love her outfit. I know you must have been thrilled to see her on the stage. Now, if you can just figure out to get a guitar around her neck, you'd have your very own rock goddess. :D

BC acted in HS plays too and I always gave her loads of props for having the guts to get up in front of an audience and have a major part in a play. Cahones for sure.

That's awesome strum. I remember when I was in grease, it was a blast.

Very nice Strum. Now tell her to hurry up and win and oscar so you can retire and bum off her the rest of your life!

Very cool!! AAMOF, Bye Bye Birdie was my HS senior class play. What a ball we had doing it--one of my fondest memories of high school. Hope hers are just as good....

Very cool Mark! My daughter hasn't been in any school plays, but has been in a few community theatre ones (including being one of the orphans in Annie, a speaking/singing part). Plays are great for kids.
