Spud, it's just a funk groove a la James Brown. There is no progression to that type of thing. Just grooving over one chord. If I am misunderstanding you, please clarify.

Right. I know that many funk jams just hang on the 1 but how about showing us a progression that uses those chord voicings? Where would you go next if you weren't James Brown?

I'd probably use something from one of the other funky lessons I just made. Did you see those? That is if I stay in the E groove for a while.
