I recently found a good solution to a quick way to spruce up the electric guitar.

Most of the time the guitar starts looking dusty because of the skin cells from my hands and from other dust. It's always been a bit of a pain to get a t-shirt under the strings to get things clean and even at that it still doesn't get all the nooks and crannies.

I discovered these in a dollar store but I'll bet they can also be found in an automotive store too. The black bristles are pretty stiff and mostly long enough to clean a Strat through the strings. The lighter bristles are softer and longer. Anyway they work pretty good on the headstock and all over the bridge and pickup areas and best of all they are really cheap...and you can also clean your car with them.:AOK:
