Anybody have experience with Davison guitars? Saw this lefty SG clone on eBay for $149.95 + $35.00 shipping and am tempted.

Found these reviews over at Harmony Central, but wanted to see if any Fretters had any experience with Davison. Nothing comes up in Search.

The HC reviews weren't very good...I would suggest looking at the Jay Turser SG copy...around the same price and better quality.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. I'm also watching a lefty Epi G400. Think I'll wait and see how high that goes first. Or I'll just go for a new G400 which is going for $314.00

The Davison ones look like a number of otherwise-branded inexpensive MIC guitars that have that same headstock, a bandmate of mine got an LP with that same headstock branded "Manolo" or something like that and actually gigged it. Just make sure if you buy mailorder/ebay you have a right to review/return.

As for the Agiles, I can vouch for those. I have a Valkyrie II I bought on closeout when they redesigned to the current "III" version, for $99 +shipping, and they are certainly worth the $240 or whatever the full regular price is. Further, though dogs do get through, Kurt at Rondo is very good about returns so you can buy in confidence. My Valk is every bit as good as my Epi G400 was, and in fact I sold the G400 as redundant after buying the Agile. I've gigged the Valk several times stock with no necessary upgrades.

Fwiw, ymmv.
