I saw over on Music123.com that they have a lefty Dean Avalanche One in classic black for $99 expected in 2-3 weeks. I see this model has a bridge humbucker, and 2 single coils in the neck and mid positions. Anyone have any comments on this model?

I tried one about a decade or so ago when I was first looking for a guitar. If I would have been smart, I would have walked out of the store with the red one and a Marshall combo. I remember really being impressed with the clean tones on the single-coils through the Marshall. Serious shimmer.

Of course, I played the right-handed version which was totally different :)

Or I wish I would have listened to the guy who advised me to get the similar Yamaha Pacifica. Then I wouldn't have to go through all of this crap with my Model 7. A friend of mine also got a low-end Ibanez HSS Strat which was very impressive for the price too.

I'll be sure to post a review once I get it, Steve.
Allow me to bump this thread. I didn't find a review on this from you. Did I (or the search engine) miss it? I'm interested to see if it is as good as I thought it was many moons ago.

Sorry. It was sold out and they weren't getting any more. I wish I could've written a review on it.

Just bought one off eBay for $129.99. :D This one is a dual humbucker. I'll be sure to post up a review once I get it. :R
