Dennis DeYoung is so dumb! Ha ha ha ha ha. I just couldn't resist. He did get booted from the band recently for being, ahem, a little difficult to work with. Something to with chugging beers then dissing Liberace and Barry Manilow.:D ROFLMAO

Now Tommy Shaw...that's one talented boy.

Yikes! I can just see the Mr. Roboto legacy coming to life in Las Vegas complete with showgirl dancers with huge feathered hair pieces.

Dennis is so dumb. LMAO Please don't spam me. I'm just having a laugh.

Thanks Tone this was funny.

I used to have that cassette. Dang that was back in like '86-'87 or something? Where's the gig....in Siberia or something? Don't know if I could play a cold guitar. heh

ps - Heres the basic lick only done slower on the video. Try it with the speed John plays it at. The video is good in that you can easily hear and see the lick being played. Add double string bends at the end. Youtube as a learning tool? Who'da thought. :)

For those who would like to know, that performance of The Final Countdown was done at 12:01 AM January 1st 2000 in Stockholm, Sweden. It was the reunion performance of the band since 1992.

Kee Marcello has played w/a variety of artists since Europe's hiatus in 1992, among them Alana Myles. He is not playing w/the reformed Europe as he now has his own band and website: www.keemarcello.com

Incidentally, this peformance was one of the first that John Norum did after switching to Gibson guitars.:R

Kee Marcello in 2003
Kee Marcello (born Kjell Hilding Lövbom on February 20th, 1960 in Ludvika, Sweden) is the former guitarist in the Swedish hard rock band Europe. He joined the band in November 1986, replacing John Norum, and remained in the band until they took a break in 1992.
Throughout the years, Marcello has played in various bands and produced several artists. Before he joined Europe he played in the glam rock band Easy Action. They released two albums. In 1985 Marcello produced the single "Give A Helping Hand" for the charity project Swedish Metal Aid. The song was written by Europe vocalist Joey Tempest.
In 1995 Marcello released his first solo album Shine On, which had a west coast influenced sound, similar to The Eagles. In 2003 he formed the band K2 and released the album Melon Demon Divine. When Europe reunited with John Norum later that year, Marcello said he might join them on some parts of their upcoming world tour. That hasn't happened so far, though.
In 2005 K2 joined forces with Canadian singer Alannah Myles at the Swedish final of the Eurovision Song Contest, performing the song "We Got It All". The song scored few points in the vote and didn't make it to the international final.
