I recvd. this email regarding an interview.
True or not, it's funny I think.

WHAT DO DEER THINK?

Ted Nugent, rock star and avid bow hunter from Michigan, was being
interviewed by a French journalist and animal rights activist. The
discussion came around to deer hunting. The journalist asked, "What
do you think is the last thought in the head of a deer before you
shoot him? Is it, 'Are you my friend?' or is it 'Are you the one
who killed my brother?' "

Nugent replied, "Deer aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All
they care about is, 'What am I going to eat next, who am I going to
screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very
much like the French.' "

The interview ended at that point.

Nugent's been "credited" w/ lots of things he never said......
funny nonetheless..
maybe not if you're from France.... I have a tiny bit of French background in my family..... still funny.
I still like the classified ad:
"French army rifle for sale. Never fired. Dropped once."

LMFAO Holy crap I almost died laughing from that that's great ted s! :rotflmao:

Well hopefully no offense anywhere.. tell you what, you can hit me with a Polish joke ONLY if I haven't heard it before..

Yup. He said it. :rotflmao: :bravo:
But to a British reporter, not a French one.

Weekly World Nuge

Yes, he did make the comment in a May 2006 interview conducted by a British journalist Robert Chalmers for The Independent on Sunday, the expanded Sunday version of the UK newspaper The Independent:

"What do these deer think when they see you coming?" I ask him. "Here comes the nice guy who puts out our dinner? Or, there's the man that shot my brother?"

"I don't think they're capable of either of those thoughts, you Limey *******. They're only interested in three things: the best place to eat, having sex and how quickly they can run away. Much like the French."

Internet-spread versions of this exchange have changed the interviewer's nationality from British to French to position the rocker's observation as an even greater slap-down.

Hel!, yeah, he did!!! Wacky found it!:AOK: Glad this one was true, btw.
Thanks, WackyT!!

Ted lives in Waco now and writes a weekly "opinion" article for the Waco Tribune-Herald. Trust me . . . there's not much he wouldn't say.

Good ol' Uncle Ted. I love it when condescending media types try to ask him questions like that. I don't agree with everything he says necessarily, but anyone who can make the media squirm is OK in my book.

Same here Marnold. In fact, I agree with almost nothing he says, but I fully support giving answers like that to completely riddiculous questions from journalists.
