Hey guys,
I have been looking around some forums on how to age chrome hardware yourself.

Some people have suggested using substances such as Coca Cola, PC Etching fluid and vinegar....

Will any of these get me a result that looks similar to this: http://www.axetremecreations.com/products/66/150/relic_telecaster_control_plate/

I want to age the machine heads, control plate and the 6 saddle bridge on my Deluxe Ash Tele

Thanks for any tips you guys have :)

I've used white vinegar. Remember, you have to scuff up the plating in order for it to "age". TDPRI has all kinds of info about relicing, you might try there.

Thanks very much for the tip and the link. I will look further into that forum.

How did the results turn out for you using white vinegar?
