As far as the whole Robben Ford/Larry Carlton comments on Youtube and everywhere else, yes they play Dumble amps, but also other brands.
My wife and I, plus a couple friends, attended an outdoor venue featuring Robben Ford last summer. Fantastic music, unreal tone. He played through........... are you ready???
A Fender Twin Reverb+Super Reverb chained together. At one point in the show the Twin started acting up. He unplugged it, cranked the Super way up, and carried on. The way the guy plays, plus the pedals he uses, the difference was nearly indiscernable. Huge fat overdriven tones, harmonics, etc. A Dumble might have sounded better, all I'm saying is, in the hands of Robben Ford, the Fenders did just fine........................![]()
That's criminal, man. Your only chance at redemption is to send me one of them immediately (gesturing hypnotically, like Mandrake used to). This would leave you with 7, an intrinsically lucky number. You'll feel much better--trust me. PM me for mailing address....scottl said:I also have 8 Dumble style amps.
